On November 20th, five youth from Person County 4-H program traveled to the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Camp for this year's Teen Leadership Conference. They had the opportunity to participate in several different workshops, based on leadership and ambassador classes. This event was a little different this year because normally it is a state conference but due to costs, we only got together with the South Central District for this event. Each district got to complete some district business during their meeting time. This gave the youth time to plan the Teen Retreat for this coming year, which will be March 18-19 at Sertoma 4-H Camp. Before then, the district will get together on January 8th in Guilford County for Winterfest. Overall, it was a jammed-packed day full of fun, learning and time to socialize with youth from another district.Teen Leadership Conference
