Public Speaking & Volunteering

On Wednesday May 4th, Person County 4-H hosted their annual Visually Impaired Workshop. We have a few visually impaired guests attend the workshop completing a variety of crafts and played some games. The 4-H'ers had a lot of fun volunteering for this event and really enjoyed getting to know our guests. Later that afternoon, we held our 4-H County Activity Day event. 4-H'ers ages 5-19 years old came together to show off their public speaking skills by giving presentations on a variety of topic. Also, part of the day included a 4-H Entertains where a few brave young souls were able to showcase their talent. The winners of the competition will be invited to attend the District Activity Day in Randolph County in June and possibly the State Contest in July.
